After Freud (2012)

After studying the work of Lucien Freud, I became intrigued by the beauty of his grotesque distorted depictions of his subjects. I became fascinated with the presence of the subjects and how they exuded a sense of humanity far beyond realism. Experimenting with self-portraiture and working with a single model over the course of a two-week span, I produced this set of work.
